Kind Words and Actions: A Fireside Chat about Equity & Courageous Conversations with Our Children

Location: Jason J. Rendell Library
Joins us for this adult event.
How does Tenacre prepare students to lead with kindness and empathy? What do diversity, equity, and inclusion look like in an elementary school context? How can parents support their children when sensitive questions arise about various identities, such as race, religion, diverse families, or socioeconomic differences?

Please join the TPA’s Community Inclusiveness Committee (CIC) and Jaleesa Anselm, Tenacre's Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, for an evening of conversation and learning. Topics will include:
    • Key DEI terminology
    • How we incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion into our culture and curriculum at Tenacre
    • What it means to practice and experience educational equity at School
    • How parents can help students navigate diverse and unfamiliar experiences
We hope you’ll leave this conversation with more tools to engage and support your children in having challenging conversations.

Please RSVP. Light refreshments will be served.
*Please note that this is an adult event, although childcare with pizza dinner is available.

RSVP is required for childcare (includes pizza dinner). We ask that children be current students or at least 4 years of age, which will allow us to provide appropriate supervision. If you have any questions, please contact Jaleesa Anselm via email or by phone at 781-431-8575 ext. 259.
