Up, up and away!

Fifth graders launched their handcrafted hot air balloons this morning across Centennial Field. These 3-meter wonders were built in science class using tissue paper, glue, string, and a copper ring. This STEM project includes concepts like metric measurement, proportions, building models, density, gravity, buoyancy, convection, engineering, and design. This is by far one of the favorite Tenacre experiences and captures the imaginations of students. #tenacre traditions
